I had the absolute most delicious steak ever for Memorial Day. For this challenge I purchased some prime Filet Mignon. I salted it for 20 minutes before grilling to bring out the juices. I cooked it over medium heat for about 10 minutes on my infrared grill.

While it was cooking I created a home-made lemon pepper butter made of 4 tbsp of butter, 2 tsp of fresh lemon zest, 1 tsp of salt, and 1 tsp of fresh ground pepper. Once the steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare), I topped it with the butter and let it soak up the flavors.

After a few minutes, I was in heaven as I bit into the most delicious steak I’ve ever had in my life. All my guests tried it and agreed they have never had a better steak.

So darn good!

Raw, and juicy as all heck
