In order to properly celebrate the 4th of July you need to dig deep and find your roots. To do this, you don’t need to look further than a good old fashion summer BBQ. This BBQ isn’t just about the main course, however… it’s all about the sides. After all, a 4th of July BBQ without sides, is like a country without independence!
Requirements:
A classic Americana meat (eg. burgers, hot dogs, bbq chicken, etc…) should still be part of the meal, but the spotlight should be focused on the sides. Each entry must include 3 sides (two of which need to be grilled). They can be kept to traditional 4th of July BBQ sides, or you can get creative. Your choice – just make sure two of them are grilled.
Bonus points go to the Grill Master who takes his party to the local park or campground and uses a “Park-Style Charcoal Grill”.
So the sides are finally in the spot light. Don’t let them down.
