Steak, Ribs and Asparagus

Monday night is usually a guys night out in my world. My wife and her friends get together and have Bachelorette Night. But tonight before the ladies took off to their party, we had a cookout. We had ribs, steaks, asparagus and wieners.
The steaks were marinated in Stubbs Texas Steakhouse Marinade. The ribs were baked in the oven by our friend Saphrin and then slowly grilled to perfection with a slight of barbecue sauce. They were the best ribs I have ever had. She would not tell us her secret recipe. And last but not least, we grilled asparagus and slightly brushed olive oil on top with a hint of salt and pepper.
If you are wondering what half an onion is doing on the grill, I use it to clean the grill while the coals are heating up. It also adds a great taste to the BBQ.

Dang! I was glad to see there was more than just you and Laura there! That was a grip of asparagus! lol. But those ribs look delicious! I think that will have to be on my menu as well in the next few weeks. Im ready for dinner #2 tonight after seeing this!
And we will have to make a trip back to Dallas so you can BBQ for us when we come down for SXSW. 🙂
This looks like a fantastic night! Speaking of conferences, if any of you guys end up going to the FOWD in NY this november, let me know; we could all meet up for some BBQ! I’m not sure if I’m going to the conference yet (though I’d love to), but I’m close enough to the city to drive down for a night.
I love asparagus. Probably one of my favorite veggies. Never put them on the grill though…
